Updates? We don't need no stinking updates!

Well, I'm unpacked to the point that my house is livable. Still not perfect, but much better. I seem to have mostly caught up with myself, debt-wise, I only owe money to one person right now. I finally bought tickets for Daffodil, now I just have to hope I can get that day off.

Gerhards wake was lovely. I think he would have enjoyed it. Lots of games, music, and laughter. Lots of old friends re-connecting. Great stories. Way to much alcohol. Pewter event tokens, cheap at half the price. And his lovely lady there, giving and receiving love and friendship. It was held in the last place I ever saw him alive, as well, which made it a little bittersweet (well, okay, lots of things made it bittersweet). It felt so much like he ought to be there, drink in hand, playing one of the games he loved so much.

On a lighter note, being able to walk to work is awesome. I'm already getting into better shape and it's only been a few weeks. Biking to work would be better, but a functioning bicycle isn't available right now, so walking will have to do. Except on days like today, when my umbrella is in Victoria and it's pouring rain. Then I'm awfully happy for the bus stop across the road.

Oh, and if you want to see pictures of the lovely Henna my friend Yagowe did for me, here are a couple of links.
